For 2008 we decided we would take the option of a stand in the Railway Marquee. We entered under the name of "The Honda MB Enthusiasts" and had a total of seven bikes on the stand. Despite being two metres short on the stand allocation we produced a professional display which earned us a "highly commended" award for the stand.

Special thanks go to Tilo & Jakob who drove 1200km (745 miles) to bring two very nice original bikes, a MB8 and MT8 (these are 80cc versions of the UK MB5 & MT5) which gave the stand a bit of a European flavour. Also many thanks to Andrew Harrison (AKA Skungheeney) for his MB5 special. This much modified MB5 has the pro-link (monoshock) from a MBX80 installed into the MB5 frame and a twin disc set up on the original 3 spoke comstars.

Apart from the disappointing weather it was a enjoyable weekend with many visitors to the stand. To my surprise I was awarded 2nd in the "Best 1980's Bike" class. This was not expected as there is a large number of bikes entered into this class and the standard of presentation is very high.

Finally a very artistic picture taken by Tilo.
