The "Sixteener Special" Sports Moped forum hold their annual event at Billing Aquadrome (Northampton). This is a weekend event and this year was held over the weekend of the 21st & 22nd of June. Saturday dawned wet and grey so full use of the marquee was made by a varied array of mopeds. Fortunately Sunday was a much better day although very windy. A large number entered the 20+ mile road run around the Northamptonshire countryside which proved that many of these bikes are not just show pieces as many owners held them flat out for most of the run. Many thanks to Dave Jefferson for organising the models that are shown gracing our bikes. We had a good turn out of MB's with Steve just finishing his German spec MB8 at midnight the night before the show. We also had Andrew from Harlow bring his black MB5 complete with H100 conversion and custom made exhaust. I also picked up 2nd place in the "best non pedalled" class.
Many thanks to Dave J who organised the services of Carla Finlayson and
Jaimee Lee Robertshaw for the days modeling duties
If you would like to see more of the girls check out Dave J's web site, which is dedicated to the little Yamaha TY50
A special thanks also to Lisa who brightened up a dull Saturday!
